A region on the up

The mayor of Disentis, René Epp, says: “The realization of the Fontauna project is of the utmost importance for the economic and tourist development of the entire region.”

The municipality of Disentis and the surrounding region are currently undergoing the greatest transformation in recent decades. New, major construction projects are sparking a regional dynamic in which the Fontauna Resort fits seamlessly and plays a leading role.

In the near future, “La Pendenta”, the largest suspension bridge in the canton of Graubünden, will be built nearby. The newly renovated “Center Fontauna” is already in operation. The Dieni Resort planned by the same developers as in the newly blossoming Andermatt and the entry of the global ski resort operator Vail Resorts into the Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis ski area are also contributing to the development of the area.

The further growth of tourism in the town can therefore be regarded as assured, as can the positive development of real estate prices, which have already risen by over 50% in the last five years.
